Foggy Winter Morning

This was taken on a cold winter morning near the Newpark Field House, Park City, Utah. There is a small stream through the field and it helped put moisture in the air causing the fog to form.

What's the point...

Well...I lost some sleep last night thinking that this whole blog thing may be silly and a waste of time. I was not (and am not) sure exactly what I will use this for or what to post. I finally decided I will post an image (or two) and give some information on the photo maybe giving more detail about the location, subject, etc.. Anyway we will see what happens.

Dall Sheep ~ Alaska

These young Dall Sheep were fun to watch as they 'practiced' butting heads. The photo was taken on a cold fall morning just after sunrise along the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, Alaska. Both the male (rams) and female (ewes) have horns which continue to grow throughout the animals' lives (they are not shed or dropped each year like the antlers of deer family). The rams horns can grow into a full arc or curl, the ewes are usually shorter and blunter but do arc back over their head.

Clicking the photo will take you to the gallery on my website where that image is located.

New Photography Web

It has taken a long time (and it is still not completed) but I finally have many of my photographs up on my new web. Of course if you are looking at this blog you can see that I have integrated it into my photo site and the "Home" link is above.
